Adam Sandler loves to sing ... badly. The Happy Gilmore star first won laughs crooning purposely pathetic jingles on Saturday Night Live and then recorded two comedy albums which went platinum. Here he plays Robbie, a guy who makes his living as a wedding singer (hence the title). At one of these gigs he meets cute waitress Julia (Drew Barrymore). It turns out that Julia and Robbie have something in common: they are both planning their own weddings. Robbie's never happens, though, since his bride stands him up at the altar. He falls for Julia, and has to figure out how to stop her wedding, too. Keep an eye on the natty costumes which evoke that vintage feeling for this film set in 1985.
