Birdee (Sandra Bullock) thinks all is peachy with her husband, her high school beau who she has been married to for years, until she finds out on a TV talk show that he's been having an affair. She uproots her daughter (Mae Whitman, who was George Clooney's tyke in One Fine Day) and returns to her Texas home. There her mother (Gena Rolands) pampers her and another high school chum (Harry Connick Jr.) restores her hope of finding a sensitive man. 114 minutes.
